Institution visits

HCI_news_BursaryProgramInstitution

Visits to the universities where our bursary recipients are studying are a high point of the annual calendar, for us and the students. In March and April, the bursary team visited the universities of Limpopo, Venda, Fort Hare and NMMU. We engage students in interactive workshops which give them the opportunity to get to know us and each other better, and we encourage them to give back, including by taking part in our national peer to peer mentoring programme.

    1. Good Morning
I would like to find out about the opening of applications for studying in2016. I used to receive a bursary from HCI before and your funding assisted me a lot. And I would like your help once again.
      Regards

My name is Simon Mabuza, currently I’m studying at University of Venda (second year LLB student). I’m from Mpumalanga by origin.

I’ve been financially stranded during my first year(2015), having no one volunteering to fund my studies was the very depressing moment in life, I’m both inspired my success through hard work and education that is why I always work at my level best when it comes to anything (be it opportunities etc. ) relating to school.

I’ve been raised by my mother Sarah Masango who is unemployed and depending in social grant assistance, which this makes her to be powerless when it comes to funding my education. My father Musa Mabuza passed on when I was very young and immature. The interest of my future is at stake and all the work I’ve up to this level is vulnerable to turn unto dust.

My query concern the availability of assistance from the HCI foundation whether it is available and if possible can I be subjected to benefit from it.

Your response will be deeply appreciated.

      Sincerely

      Simon Mabuza
