Who we are
HCI Foundation is the corporate social investment arm of HCI, a black empowerment investment company that has its origins in the Southern African Clothing and Textile Workers’ Union. Our primary concern is the upliftment of all people in South Africa so that all may share in an improved quality of life.
We aim to bring about change and make a sustainable impact in underdeveloped and underprivileged communities through interactive partnerships with other stakeholders.

On the 21 and 22 October, representatives from 116 organisations from the HCI Foundation network joined us for a virtual workshop on Settling into the New Normal,
to encourage us all to reflect and share good practice, inspire each other and celebrate the work we all do.
Celebrating Heritage Month Through Music
In 2013 Musiquelaine South Africa launched the “Music Education for Life Transformation Programme” at Steenberg High School in Cape Town.
The main objective of the Steenberg High School Music Project is to establish long term sustainability
and music development that will impact positively on school learners from Grades 8 to 12.
